Since our Art Deco room is in a high-rise building with glass walls, it’s a given that it doesn’t have a balcony. However, that does not keep us from wanting to sit and have a cup of tea while taking in the glorious cityscape from high up there.
There is enough space between the non-structural inner walls and the structural glass walls for a lightweight (that is, not heavy-looking) set of furniture. I first thought of adding some Art Deco-ish lounge chairs. But I didn’t want to have anything that will impede the expansive views of the city from the bed or sitting area. Thus the need for lightweight furniture. And what could be lighter than an easy-to-move stool?
Here are some cool Art Deco stools for inspiration:

I feel they’re uncomfortable to sit on but they look so good I wouldn’t mind! 😉
Thanks, Han! 🙂 I was debating whether to give the model a leather seat as with the real world product, but decided on plain wood instead, to add a bit of originality (and, in exchange, pain to the sitter…)
Make the stools chairs and I’ll sit on wood! If they’re not bar stools, I feel that stools only serve to put things on.
Yes, they could serve as footstools as well.
