This is one of my favorite subjects: a pair of sandstone sculptures from Bali, Indonesia. They look so adorable I never tire of photographing them! 🙂
I used a “rediscovered” lens to shoot this pic.
More than 10 years ago, while I was at university, I bought a Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens for my film SLR camera. It was the cheapest Canon lens I could find. I used it to take portraits of my friends. After entering the workforce and dropping photography as a hobby, I put the lens inside a box and forgot about it.
Today, many years later, I took it out and forced myself to use it on my DSLR instead of the standard zoom lens that I like to use.
I’ve forgotten how lightweight and bright this fixed focal length lens is. I think I’ll be using it more often from now on. 🙂
So, what do you think of this photo? Please share your thoughts and opinions in the Comments section below.
Pretty sculpture! Is the other member of the pair a perfect match?
Yes, they’d look like Siamese twins if you put them side by side 🙂 Here’s a pic: http://designs.beverlyclaire.com/bali-dreams/
