Dining Chair

A dining chair inspired by the Queen Anne style

This walnut side chair has a mixture of Queen Anne and Chippendale features. The back splat is solid, in the Queen Anne style, but its stiles and seat are shaped, and the chair has cabriole front legs, following the Chippendale style. The carved top is a Venetian armchair inspiration (c. 1795).

With or without armrests this chair will enhance any classically-styled dining room. Here’s how it looks like in a virtual room. The chairs are given a darker stain and polished surface.

I think I’d prefer the elaborate design at the top to move to the back of the chair instead. It looks delicate and could easily be damaged at such an exposed place. Just for practicality’s sake.

Hey slf, thanks for your comment! Yes, the delicate carved top would not be appropriate for a family with small kids!
